Our Pledge
Young people asked us to show courage, patience, kindness, and commitment.
We are in the last year of a four-year programme, placing lived experience of emotional and social distress at the heart of all our work. Creative arts practitioners and researchers worked with scientists to assemble an extraordinarily rich body of knowledge of how young people from diverse identities and places experience poor mental health and what helps. This informed the co-design of a public health resource and a serious game focused on adverse childhood experiences, both of which are undergoing evaluation.
Young people spoke to government and policy makers and practitioners - setting out what they want to see in our health and social care systems, in schools, from teachers and parents, and in society more generally. We have done much, but must do more, and the young people and all involved in ATTUNE call upon all present and our wider networks to ensure the work continues, and our campaign for compassionate youth centred care continues to transform young people's lives for the better. The research itself has empowered many to achieve their aspirations, and has been a humbling experiences for the research team irrespective of their disciplinary heritage.
Become an ATTUNE Friend: Will you pledge your commitment to help ATTUNE deliver beyond the research, for the next ten years?
